Overlay Neighborhood-based Distributed Publish/Subscribe System (Publiy)

Research Themes
The project investigates design and implementation of a multi-purpose distributed content-based publish/subscribe system with a modular and highly configurable design. Publiy can be configured to include a number of different features including:
  • Reliable and fault-tolerant publication delivery despite multiple concurrent failures in the broker overlay
  • Adaptive overlay management and multi-path publication forwarding in an overlay mesh
  • Peer-assisted bulk content dissemination service (Publiy+) using network coding
