Biography

Sofia is an MASc student at the department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Toronto under the supervision of Professor Jacobsen at the MSRG Research Group. She graduated from ECE at UofT in 2020, and worked at RBC as a software engineer for a little under a year before beginning her MASc. At RBC, Sofia worked on internal data processing and metrics, as well as an internal testing platform built in-house. Sofia’s exact research focus is still undecided, but she enjoys learning about distributed & parallel systems and consensus algorithms.
